Senior racing scribe Zodge dead

Mumbai, May 18: Senior racing correspondent Vijay Zodge died on Tuesday, May 17, after a brief illness.

He was 56 and is survived by his wife and two sons, according to family sources.

Zodge, who was the racing correspondent for the Indian Express Group's leading Marathi daily Loksatta, was employed with another Marathi daily Punyanagari when he breathed his last.

He was also contributing for Royal Western India Turf Club's Cole magazine and its Chennai counterpart's magazine Original Vel.

He had won the racing correspondents' award Tipster Number One during his three decade-long career.
