Sensei Rajesh Thakkar to conduct summer Karate camp

Mumbai, Apr 30 (UNI) Sensei Rajesh Thakkar, 6th Dan, Chief Instructor of Rajesh Thakkar's Martial Arts Academy, will be conducting the 49th Summer Karate-Do training Camp for all Karate lovers at Treat Resort, Silvassa, from May 28 to 31.

Over 200 karate students from Mumbai, Pune, Nashik, Surat and Bhavnagar are expected to participate in this camp that will focus on the classical aspects of training namely, Kihon (basics), Kata (form), Bunkai (application of Kata), Ippon Kumite (one step sparring), Makiwara (bagwork), Shiai Kumite (sports karate), Pool training and other aspects of Karate. Colour and black belt exams will also be conducted during the camp, a release issued here today stated.

There will also be a second edition of ''WELLNESS WORKSHOP - STRETCH YOUR LIMITS,'' open to all adults above 30 years of age.

Participants will be given a first hand experience of learning fitness through Karate techniques.

In addition a hands-on ''SELF-DEFENSE WORKSHOP'' for ladies, which will be conducted by lady instructors will also be introduced for the first time, the release added.
