Bangalore, Mar 27: Services and Manipur emerged team champions in the men's and women's sections in the Senior National Weightlifting Championships which concluded here today.

Services secured 622 overall points to retain the men's team title, ahead of Uttar Pradesh (428 points).

Commonwealth Games gold medallist Kutulu Ravi Kumar of Services, who won the 77kg category in the championships, was declared the best lifter among men.

Ravi Kumar had also been declared best lifter among men in last year's Senior National at Udaipur.

Last edition runners-up Manipur won the women's team title with 503 points while Punjab were second with 425.

Kh Sanjita Chanu of Meghalaya, who won the 48kg category in the championships, was adjudged best lifter among women.
