Seven-a-Side: Bhutan pip Lanka

Jagdalpur, Chhattisgarh, Feb 17 (UNI) Bhutan pipped Sri Lanka 5-0 on the second day of the Seven-a-Side Football Championship underway at the Indira Priyadarshini Stadium here today.

Two of the goals were scored in the first half. The scorers were Isidore (3), Glisten (1) and Tensang (1).

The second encounter, between India and Bangladesh, ended in a 1-1 draw. The hosts scored through Alam in the eighth minute but Milan Kumar equalised in the 10th minute of the second half. Both teams failed to capitalise on several opportunities.

Yesterday, India humbled the Lankans 8-0.
