SGPC congratulates Abhinav Bindra for winning gold at Beijing

Amritsar, Aug.11 : Congratulating Abhinav Bindra's gold winning feat in the 10 M air rifle event at the Beijing Olympics, Shiromani Gurdwara Prabandhak Committee (SGPC), the apex body of the Sikhs, today announced that it would honour Bindra for his achievement.

vtar Singh Makkar, the President of SGPC said: "We are happy that Bindra has set an example for the youth of India and his golden achievement would certainly boost the enthusiasm of the other Indian players who are taking part in the Beijing Olympics".

Makkar said that the SGPC would give cash prize of Rs.two lakh to Bindra. y Ravinder Singh Robin
