Shah refuses to comment on Calcutta HC directive

By Staff

Rajkot, Nov 13 (UNI) The former BCCI secretary Niranjan Shah today refused to comment on the Calcutta High Court's directive to initiate criminal proceedings against six top officials for filing false affidavits in the Jagmohan Dalmiya expulsion case.

Niranjan said the Board lawyers were handling the case.

''I have not seen the papers yet. The matter is sub-judice and we are leaving the case to be dealt by our lawyers,'' said Shah.

Shah is among the six officials against whom criminal proceedings would be initiated. The others are BCCI former president Sharad Pawar, the president Shashank Manohar, secretary N Srinivasan, CAO of the board Prof Ratnakar Shetty and the BCCI vice-president Chirayu Amin.
