London, Nov 6 (UNI) Middlesex will be denied the services of key batsmen Owais Shah and Andrew Strauss when they compete in the Champions League Twenty20 tournament to be held in India next month.
Both Shah and Strauss are part of the England Test squad that will visit India for a two-match series starting December 11.
It is being reported that they might not be relieved by the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) mega T20 event.
''Chennai, for example, have got four internationals while it doesn't look like England are going to release Shah and Strauss, so we have look at alternatives and we do feel penalised,'' said Middlesex chief executive Vinny Codrington.
Middlesex have qualified for the prestigious tournament by virtue of being winners of England's domestic Twenty20 competition.
