Shahrukh Khan defends CWG 2010

Mumbai, Sep 28: The organising committee of Commonwealth Games 2010 can heave a sigh of relief with megastar like Sharkh Khan speaking in favour of them, when all negative comments hit the committee.

"I hope we Indians realize how difficult it is to build stadiums & respect & so easy to break monuments & disrespect each others beliefs," commented Khan on Twitter.

In his statement Shahrukh also hinted about the Babri masjid demolition, the verdict of which is to be delivered on Sep 30.

However, another Bollywood star, Shilpa Shetty earlier posted on Twitter, "This could have been a great opportunity to make our country proud. Unfortunately, CWG hasn"t brought us the pride and honour we thought it would."

Followed several controversies raised regarding the Delhi Games, all these statements raised. So many athletes pull out their names from CWG over security concern, dengue or hygenic state of games' village.

Depending on his great fan followings through out the world, Shahrukh Khan's comment would surely boost interest of people towards the much hyped Commonwealth Games 2010.
