Shamil Erdogan Ends Paul Elliott's ONE Fight Night 48 Run With Main Event Submission
New Delhi, Oct 3: A heavyweight title opportunity hung in the balance on Saturday, October 3, as Shamil Erdogan and Paul Elliott collided in the main event of ONE Fight Night 48 on Prime Video, live from Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.
Erdogan imposed his will from the opening bell, dragging Elliott to the canvas and grinding him down for nearly five minutes with punches and relentless control, but the Englishman answered in round two, rocking the Turk with a right hand and spinning into a kick that briefly shifted momentum.

Erdogan quickly returned to the canvas, securing mount and raining down elbows before Elliott gave up his back, exposing his neck as he scrambled to his feet. Erdogan sank in a rear-naked choke for the tap at 2:28, extending his record to 14-0 and earning a US$50,000 bonus.
In the co-main event, Parham Gheirati wasted no time marking his return from a year-long layoff, blasting Nakrob Fairtex with punches from the opening bell, and though the Thai veteran answered with sharp counters, a surprise left hand cracked his chin for the fight's first knockdown.
The pair traded clinch knees and heavy punches across two more grueling rounds before a stiff jab from Gheirati dropped Nakrob again in round three, and though the Thai rallied gamely, the Iranian's volume down the stretch secured a unanimous decision and his 14th professional win.
