Mumbai, Dec 12 (UNI) Overnight leader Sharmila Nicolllet of Bangalore, slipped a bit to finish her second day four strokes over par, but her score of 74 was still enough to open up a six stroke lead on top of the leader board in the here today.
US-based golfer, Shraddhanjali Singh, also came up with a good show, finishing seven over 77 to occupy second place overall, while overnight third placed golfer Nalini Singh of Delhi had a poor outing, playing 11 over 81 to slip to fourth place in the points tally.
Sharmila started the day very well, finishing the first nine holes two over 37, with birdies on the 6th and 8th hole and single bogeys on the 1st and 3rd holes, with a double bogey on the 9th hole. On the back nine too she played two over, with single bogeys on the 10th, 14th and 15th holes and a birdie on the 17th hole.
Sharmila has last played on the BPGC course in 2005 where she had a top five finish and she feels the course is playing true to form.
