Shastri, Saheba to stand with Bowden in the ODIs against West Indies
Mumbai, Jan 17 (UNI) Billy Bowden of New Zealand will be the International Cricket Committie's (ICC) umpire for the forthcoming four one-day internationals (ODIs) between India and West Indies to be played at Nagpur, Cuttack, Chennai and Vadodara from January 21 to January 31.
Newly-promoted Suresh Shastri and Amish Saheba will be the two Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) appointed home umpires to officiate on field with Billy Bowden, a release issued by the cricket board stated here today.
Shastri would join Bowden in the first (January 21) and third (January 27) ODIs at Nagpur and Chennai respectively while Saheba would do the on-field duty in the second (January 24) and fourth (January 31) ties at Cuttack and Vadodara respectively.
Shastri and Saheba have taken the place of A V Jayaprakash and K Hariharan in the BCCI's on-field ODI panel from this season.
G A Pratapkumar would be the third umpire for the first three ODIs while Shastri would switch over to TV umpiring for the last ODI in the series for which ICC has appointed Alan Hurst of Australia as the match referee.
V N Kulkarni, Ravi Subramanian, A Y Gokhale and Jasbir Singh would perform the duties of the fourth umpire in the ODIs in that order, the release added.
