Shikha Uberoi, Ankita Bhambri in Fed Cup squad

New Delhi, Mar 30 (UNI) Shikha Uberoi, Ankita Bhambri, Sunitha Rao and Tara Iyer were today named to represent India in the Asia/Oceania Group I and II Fed Cup qualifying rounds to be held from April 16 to 18 at Chirstchurch in New Zealand.

Rao, an American citizen has been cleared by the ITF to represent India as she has been given a Person of India Origin certificate by the Indian Government, an All India Tennis Association statement said here.

Enricho Piperno will be the non-playing captain and coach of the team.

India has been placed in Group I along with other six teams -- Chinese Taipei, Hong Kong, Kazakhstan, Korea, Thailand and Uzbekistan.

Group II has four teams -- Jordan, New Zealand, Singapore and Syria.
