Shiv Kapur launches GolfRiTe and junior proagrammes in India

New Delhi, Apr 9 (UNI) Asian Games gold medalist Shiv Kapur kick-started a new programme for juniors with the launch of GolfRiTe here today.

GolfRiTe, founded by former India athlete, Kapoor Singh, will also bring the world-famous US Kids Golf tour and OZGolf, a unique technolgy that allows building of full length golf courses on synthetic surfaces. GolfRiTe has already initiated talks with numerous schools across the country to set up GolfRiTe academies.

Shiv Kapur, who after winning the Asian games in 2002 successfully moved in to the professional ranks and in his rookie year won the Volvo masters of Asia, the Tour championships of Asian Tour, lauded the impressive concept of starting short game academies in schools all across India, which is the main objective of GolfRiTe.

The programme will see GolfRiTe organise golf skills challenges in six age groups ranging from six to 18 at its academies every three weeks. Golfers compete in five different skills to earn ranking points to move up the merit list.

The three National champions from each group get three weeks training in Orlando, Florida.
