Shoulder injury rules out Jayanta from Natl Games

Guwahati, Feb 7 (UNI) World Champion archer Jayanta Talukdar will not be able to participate in the National Games due to a shoulder injury.

Jayanta, who won the World Championship 2006 and then a bronze in Doha Asian Games, hurt his shoulder while practising for the National Games at Jamshedpur.

Hailing from Asom, the archer represents Jaharkhand and was supposed to be the star attraction at the Games.

However, he would be travelling to Asom, his hometown, and enjoy the Games as a spectator, his father Ranjan Talukdar informed today.
