Simarjeet fires 71 for sole lead at LG Noida Open Amateur

Noida, July 24 (UNI) Oil India's Simarjeet Singh shot a one-under 71 to assume sole lead at the LG Noida Open Amateur Golf Championship at the par-72 Noida Golf Club, here today.

Oil India 's Manav Das brought in a card of level-par 72 to occupy the second position, while Faridabad's Abhinav Lohan was in third place after shooting a round of 73.

Bangalore's Chikkarangappa, Delhi's Gagan Verma, Chandigarh's HS Kang and Siddhartha Arora were tied for third place at 75, while Ajeetesh Sandhu, Fatehbir Dhaliwal, K Prabagaran, Kushal Thakerey, Parvesh Baisoya and Rakesh Kumar were a further stroke behind in tied eighth place at 76.
