Simarjeet Singh shines in LG Northern India Amateur Am-Am

Gurgaon, Aug 6 (UNI) Top amateurs of the country will be seen in action at the LG Northern India Amateur Golf Championship which begins here tomorrow.

The LG Northern India Amateur will witness the likes of LG Noida Open champion Manav Das, three-time Sri Lankan Open winner Simarjeet Singh, third-ranked Jasjeet Singh, Gagan Verma, Saurabh Bahuguna, Abhishek Jha, Vikram Rana, HS Kang, among others.

Sri Lankan duo of Mithun Perera and All India amateur champion K Prabagaran will add foreign flavour to this meet.

Bangalore's Chikkarangappa, Jaipur's Amanjyot Singh and Ajeetesh Sandhu will also provide serious competition to the seasoned amateurs.

Earlier today Simarjeet warmed up for the main event in style returning the best individual gross stableford score by an Amateur at the Am-Am. Simarjeet finished with a tally of 37 stableford points. Capt.Pranav Parashar clinched the 0-24 handicap category with 39 points, while Capt.Daman Sehgal finished runner up at 36 points.
