Singla nominated RFI Commission chairman

Chandigarh, Jun 23 (UNI) Parmod Kumar Singla, Joint Secretary of Rowing Federation of India and Secretary, Chandigarh Rowing Association has been nominated Chairman of the Competition Commission of the Rowing Federation of India in the first executive council meeting of the federation held in Bangalore on June 21.

Romit Mukherji of West Bengal will assist Singla in this commission.

Rowing Federation of India has formulated three commissions -- Regatta Commission, Umpiring Commission and Competition Commission to further streamline and improve the standard of rowing in India.

Parmod Kumar Singla has also been nominated to be the member of Umpiring Commission which is going to be chaired by Chacko, treasurer of RFI.

RFI vice president Parmod Bhave has been nominated to be the Chairman of the Regatta Commission along with Ashok Mehta of West Bengal and Chacko of Tamil Nadu to assist Parmod Bhave.
