Sixth edition of Media Cup starts in Mumbai

Mumbai, May 14 (UNI) The sixth edition of Media Cup, a cricket tournament for the media fraternity, started today at the Hindu Gymkhana, Marine Lines in South Mumbai.

In the tournament, there are 64 media teams from the city who are vying for the cup, with six teams entering the second round.

The teams that had entered the next round with their respective wins include Times of India, Hindustan Times, PTI, Lokmat, Mumbai Mirror and Indian Express, according to a release here.

The tournament, organised by Media Sports Academy, was inaugurated by Rajiv Bajaj, president of Sahara Maharashtra News Channel.

The finals of the eight-day tournament will be played at Mumbai Police Gymkhana, Marine Lines on May 24, the release added.
