India Cue Masters League: Bengaluru Buddies beat Pankaj Advani-led Chennai Strikers

Ahmedabad, Aug 22: Bengaluru Buddies on Monday (August 21) beat Chennai Strikers, and Delhi Dons trounced Hyderabad Hustlers in another tie, at the Indian Cue Masters League here.

Chennai Strikers won mixed doubles snookers pairing with Pankaj Advani against Darren Morgan and Anastasia Anachaeva, and the mixed doubles pool match with Pandurangaiah against Sundeep Gulati and Anastasia Anachaeva.

In dramatic snooker singles, Darren Morgan beat Pankaj Advani of Chennai Strikers with just a few seconds to go.

In this clash of icons, Advani went on a rampage to narrow the lead, but with just 15 seconds left, he missed the last ball on the table.

In the decider snooker singles, Laxman Rawat of Bengaluru side won against Dharminder Lilly. In a second tie, Amir Sarkhosh, an Iranian player, put the Hyderabad Hustlers ahead by winning the nine-ball pool game in straight frames.

But Kelly Fisher from UK paired with Malkeet Singh of Delhi Dons in mixed doubles snooker to defeat the Hyderabad pair of Kamal Chawla and Amee Kamani.

World no. 2 Chawla lost out to Manan Chandra in snooker singles, giving another set back to Hyderabad Hustlers.

Laura Evans and Malkeet SIngh then beat Anuj Uppal and Amee Kamani to make it 2-1 on favour of Dons. Kelly Fisher wrapped the tie by getting the getter of Amir.
