Rio 2016: South Korea's Jin wins men's 50m pistol in third straight Olympics

Rio de Janeiro, Aug 10: South Korean shooter Jin Jongoh edged Vietnamese Hoang Xuan Vinh to win gold at the men's 50m rifle on Wednesday, taking home the third straight Olympic gold medal on this event.

Jin scored 193.7 points in the final, in which the silver medallist Hoang shot 191.3 points, reports Xinhua.

Due to the change of rules by the sport's world governing body International Shooting Sports Federation (ISSF), all winning marks at the finals of the Rio Olympics will be recognised as new Olympic records, so does Zhang's 193.7 points in the men's 50m pistol.

Kim Song Guk of North Korea won the bronze with 172.8 points.
