South Zone Team for Prof D B Deodhar Trophy selected

Hyderabad, Feb 16 (UNI) The South Zone Selection Committee today selected the South Zone Cricket team for the Prof D B Deodhar One-Day limited overs Cricket Tournament to be held at Ahmedabad on February 26 and at Mumbai on March three, March seven and March 11.

According to a press release the team will be led by V V S Laxman (Hyd). other players include Y Venugopala Rao, Vice Captain (AP), Rowland Barrington (Kar), M Vijay (TN), Swapnil Asnodkar (Goa), N Arjun Yadav (Hyd), S Badrinath (TN), V S T Tilak Naidu, Wicket Keeper (Kar), C Raghu (Kar), P Pragyan Ojha (Hyd), K S Shabuddin (Andhra), B Akhil (Kar), R Vinay Kumar (Kar), V A Jagadeesh (Ker) and D A Kalyan Krishna (AP).

Hyderabad Cricket Association Coach Vivek Jaisimha was appointed as the coach, while Peter will be the manager. Meanwhile, A S K Varma (AP), Manikandan (Ker), Ganapathi (TN) and Mohd Ibrahim Khaleel (Hyd) were selected as stand-bys, the release added.
