Despite trailing by 15 points after the first quarter, the Liberty managed to fight back into contention. Sabrina Ionescu was instrumental in this effort, contributing 30 points, eight rebounds, and six assists. Natasha Cloud also added 22 points and nine assists for New York.

Sparks Win with Buzzer-Beater Against Liberty

The final moments of the game were intense, with both teams exchanging baskets. Ionescu's jumper tied the game at 99 with just 23 seconds left. However, after a foul with 5.9 seconds remaining, Jackson found herself isolated in the post. She made a decisive move over her left shoulder to score the winning basket, confirmed by replay.

Jackson led Los Angeles with 24 points, while Dearica Hamby and Azura Stevens each recorded double-doubles with 17 points apiece. The Sparks' record improved to 11-14 following this victory.

Mystics' Defensive Prowess

In another matchup, Shakira Austin led Washington Mystics to a solid defensive win over Seattle Storm with a score of 69-58. Austin contributed significantly with 14 points and 11 rebounds. Sonia Citron also had a double-double performance.
