Sporting clube to meet Vasco in I-league tomorrow

Margao, Sep 25 (UNI) A well balanced Sporting clube de Goa would seek to garner full points in their campaign against another local team Vasco Sports club in the lung opener of the second edition at Nehru stadium Fatorda tomorrow.

Sporting coach Vishwas Gaonkar said that his team is a well organised side and the squad that has played in the Durand Cup recently will be played tomorrow. ''The team is fully fit and joining of Nigerian Junior Eligha yesterday had strengthened the forward line, my first aim is to start with full points from opponenet side,'' he added.

Sporting boasts of a very good mid field, comprising of playmaker Joseph Pereira, Micky Fernandes and Wilson Gomes and the coach hopes that their forward line with Nigerian Junior, Manipurui Jaychandra or Cavin Lobo Combine will deliver the goods.

The Defence is also in the safe hands of Philip Gomes, Sumanandha Singh, Chandrasekhar Rao and in the goal will be Felix D'Souza.

On the other hand newly appointed Vasco sports club coach Elves Goes said he is have a young and talented team and is positive about his team's win tomorrow. He said, couple of strategies have been worked out for the match against Sporting club.

''We have recruited three Uzbekistan players -- Forward, Midfields and Defenders, but they will not be playing in tomorrow's match as joining formalities are yet be completed,'' the coach said.
