Kannur, Nov 13 (UNI) SRM Madras, Pondicherry, Mysore, Bangalore, Andhra, Osmania and Alagappa universities moved into the second round with easy victories in the pool cum-knock out matches of the South-West Zone inter-univeristy volleyball championship for women here today.

Anna university-Chennai and Thiruvallur university, Vellur got walkovers.

In an exciting encounter, Pondicherry University overpowered V T University Belguam, after losing the first two sets at 16-25, 21-25, 25-19, 25-17 and 15-13.
