SSCB bags gold in National Archery Championship

Vijayawada, Jan 29 (UNI) SSCB and Indian Railways today won the gold in the men and women recurve events respectively in the 27th Cherukuri Volga Memorial Senior National Archery Championship held here.

In the men's final, SSCB team defeated SPCB by scoring 207 points, out of 240, while SPCB settled with a score of 204 points and took the silver.

The bronze went to Jharkhand team which secured 196 points.

In the women's section, Indian Railways pipped SPCB by scoring 191. SPCB got silver by scoring 118 points and the bronze went to Uttar Pradesh which got 110 points.

In the final of the compound men's segment, Delhi beat Jharkand and bagged the gold with 218 points. Jharkand got silver with 216 points while Andhra Pradesh bagged bronze with 212 points.

In the women's event, Jharkand trounced Haryana to win the gold with 219 points. The silver went to Haryana who scored 208 points and Maharashtra bagged the bronze with 192 points.
