SSCB men, Maharashtra women win Artistic Gymnastics events

Ranchi, Feb 18 (PTI) SSCB men and Maharashtra women todaywon the gold medals in the Artistic Gymnastics teamcompetitions of the 34th National Games here.

SSCB scored 394.05 points as against Uttar Pradesh''s390.02 points while Andhra Pradesh finished third to take thebronze medal in the men''s competition.

Maharashtra, who scored 219.45 points to edge past WestBengal (211.95 points), clinched their seventh gold so far inthe Gymnastic competitions.

With 188.25 points, Andhra Pradesh girls took the bronze.

Yesterday, Maharashtra had won six gold medals in theRhythmic gymnastics.
