State Jr Athletics Championship in Mysore from Nov 19

Mysore, Nov 7 (UNI) Over 1,600 Atheletes will participate in the 23rd ''State Junior Athletics Championships'' for boys and girls beginning here on November 19.

Karnataka Athletic Association Secretary Satyanarayna told newspersons that about 118 events would be conducted for both boys and girls in the age group of 14, 16, 18 and 20 years. All the events would be held at the Chamundivihar Sports Complex here.

The Championship's were being held in the City of Palaces after a gap of 13 years.

He said the Championships would also serve as the selection trails of the state team for the 23rd National Junior Athletics Championships scheduled to be held at Vijayawada in Andhra Pradesh from November 24 to 29.
