State-level body-building meet in Nashik on Jan 18

Nashik, Jan 15 (UNI) The Juniors and Masters Maharashtra Shree State Body-building championship will be held here on January 18.

The Junior group championship will be held in six weight groups -- 55 kg, 60 kg, 65 kg, 70 kg, 75 kg, and above 75 kg.

The Masters championship will be held in two weight groups -- under 70 kg and above 70 kg.

The championships have been jointly organised by Urja Pratisthan and Nashik District Bodybuilders Association in association with the Maharashtra Body-builders Association.

Bharatiya Janata Party leader Kirit Somaiyya and Shiv Chhatrapati awardee Shyam Rahate will inaugurate the meet.

Apart from the gold, silver and bronze medals to be awarded, cash awards too would be given away. The Junior Maharashtra Shree winner will receive Rs 11,000. As many as 170 body-builders from across the state will participate in the championships.
