Steven Gerrard's wife says credit crunch stopped WAGs' spending sprees

London, Feb 10 (ANI): Brit footballer Steven Gerrard's wife Alex has revealed that the ongoing credit crunch has stopped WAGs from continuing their spending spree.

Alex, 26, whose hubby earns 120,000 pounds a week, claims that she now visits the hairdressers only twice a week and that she does her own nails using a 2 pounds varnish.

The model had become famous for her mammoth shopping trips at the 2006 World Cup in Germany.

"I'm not that bothered about pampering," the Sun quoted her as saying.

"I think people - especially WAGs - are becoming more conscious of spending money now," she added. (ANI)
