Sunil-Stephen pair enter semis
Chandigarh, May 30 (UNI) Top seeded pair of Stephen Amritraj and Sunil Kumar Sipaeya stormed into the doubles semi-finals in the 10,000 dollars SAIL ITF Men's Futures Tournament at the CLTA Stadium here today.
Amritraj-Sipaeya defeated Kiran Nandkumar and Yannick Nelord 7-6, 6-3 in the quarter-final match played at the court number 3.
Fourth seeded Vivek Shokeen and Sanam Singh also moved into the semi-finals. The duo defeated English pair Robert Searle and Matthew Smith in three sets 6-3, 4-6, 6-3.
From the lower half of the draw, second seeded Sandeep Kirtane and Purav Raja defeated Rohan Gajjar and Jonathan (Eng) in straight sets 6-2, 6-3.
They will face Tushar Liberhan and Navdeep Singh in the semi-finals, who has ousted Ochiai Guilherme (Bra) and Satosh Yoshino (JPN) 6-4, 6-3.
