ONE 173: ONE Flyweight Kickboxing World Champion Superlek Kiatmoo9 has bittersweet memories of competing in Japan. In 2024, he defeated home country hero Takeru Segawa in a kickboxing bout but suffered a devastating Muay Thai loss to Nabil Anane in March 2025.
The pound-for-pound striking great now aims to secure another massive victory in The Land of the Rising Sun when he faces former K-1 Champion Yuki Yoza in a thrilling bantamweight kickboxing bout at ONE 173 inside Ariake Arena in Tokyo, Japan, on 16 November.

The 29-year-old Thai megastar has had a lot of time to learn from the mistakes that he made against Anane. Superlek believes he won't be intimidated by his Japanese rival Yoza and plans to elevate his performance.
"My comeback will be something else. I won't repeat the same mistake. I'm ready to show my skills to the Japanese fans. This fight is very important. I'm coming back to the Circle this time, and I need to do better," Superlek said.
"I'm not intimidated by this fight, even if it turns out to be a kicking war. I'm already working on my tactics for this fight. Yuki is a strong fighter. He's a fast striker. I think those are his main strengths."
However, his opponent is kickboxing royalty in his own right. The 27-year-old veteran trains at Team Vasileus alongside Takeru and reigning ONE Interim Featherweight Kickboxing World Champion Masaaki Noiri, who headlines the event against Superbon in a title unification bout.
With two impressive victories over Elbrus Osmanov and legendary Petchtanong Petchfergus under his belt in the promotion, Yoza has outlined that this bout will make him world famous. He is ready to unleash his kicks against the man who is known as "The Kicking Machine."
"It feels amazing to return to fight in Japan. This is a fight where the world will remember the name Yuki Yoza. I'm fired up and ready to prove I'm the best in the world," Yoza said.
"I see him as one of ONE's pound-for-pound best. I'm ready to test my kicks against his. This is payback for Japanese striking fighters. I'm here to prove that I'm the strongest in the world."
