Superlek Kiatmoo9: 3 Fights To Make Next For ONE Flyweight King

At last month's ONE Fight Night 8, ONE Flyweight Kickboxing World Champion Superlek Kiatmoo9 successfully defended his newly attained World Title for the very first time against a late-notice opponent.

After a stressful week of fight rearrangements, "The Kicking Machine" met dangerous dueller Danial "Mini T" Williams on Saturday, 25 March, after his initial challenger in Rodtang Jitmuangnon was forced out due to an injury.

Having now asserted himself on the throne with a World Title defense recorded in the history books, here are three fighters, including Rodtang, who Superlek could face next in the ONE Championship.

Rodtang Jitmuangnon: With both Thais fighting at the highest levels, and both having uttered each other's names, it's only a matter of time until the duo meet in battle in the Circle.

The bout came as close to happening as it ever has at ONE Fight Night 8 before the aforementioned injury to "The Iron Man," teasing fight fans for what will eventually be a combustible contest.

As both men hold gold in ONE and have similar goals to become two-sport World Champions, the elite strikers could collide before the year's end in what would be a treat for striking fans around the world.

Taiki Nato: Another foe Superlek shares history with is Taiki Nato. The pair first met almost one year ago at ONE 157, where Superlek managed to notch a unanimous decision against the Japanese Muay Thai star in the quarterfinals of the ONE Flyweight Muay Thai World Grand Prix.

Naito responded to the loss in positive fashion in his return at ONE on Prime Video 3 last October, defeating Iran's Amir Naseri over the course of three rounds to get back to winning ways and cement himself as the #4-ranked contender in the flyweight division.

If Nato can notch another win in 2023, the Japanese kickboxer could find himself back in World Title contention and potentially see a rematch with Superlek under kickboxing rules in a futrue event.

Panpayak Jitmuangnon: While the two previous fighters may be familiar with Superlek, there is nobody who knows more about "The Kicking Machine" than Panpayak Jitmuangnon, who has been on the rise.

The pair seem destined to fight forever, having already notched eight contests against one another. The Thai stars previously met at ONE 164 last December with Superlek taking home the split-decision victory in another closely fought contest.

The decision tightened the scores between the two and saw Superlek build momentum with two straight victories over Panpayak. However, the latter closely leads the way in victories over each other, but Superlek could even the score should they meet again.
