Superstars richer by Rs 3.9 crore

Panckhula, Dec 16 (UNI) Chennai Superstars, who lifted the inaugural title in the lucrative prize money Indian Cricket League Twenty-20 Championship after beating Chandigarh Lions by 12 runs, were presented a purse of 3.9 crore, the highest ever prize money offered in domestic cricket.

Chandigarh Lions were richer by Rs 1.9 crore. Delhi Jets got a paycheque of Rs 1.50 crore for the third position while Kolkata Tigers received Rs 1.25 crore for the fourth position. Hyderabad Heroes who finished fifth, received a cheque of Rs one crore while at the bottom Mumbai Champs got Rs 85 lakh.

Pakistan medium pacer Shabbir Ahmed Khan of Chennai Stars was declared man of the match for his brilliant bowling spell of (4-0-23-4) and Ian Harvey was adjudged the man of the series.
