VADUZ, Oct 13 (Reuters) Goals by midfielders Fredrik Ljungberg, Christian Wilhelmsson and Anders Svensson earned Sweden a 3-0 win over Liechtenstein in their Euro 2008 qualifying match today.
The victory put Sweden on 22 points at the top of Group F after nine matches with second-placed Spain trailing by three points but with the chance to close the gap as they were playing Denmark and leading 2-0 at halftime.
Skipper Ljungberg, who was later replaced by Kim Kallstrom because of injury concerns, opened the scoring on 19 minutes with a calm finish after a neat backflick pass by striker Marcus Allback.
Wilhelmsson made it 2-0 10 minutes later with a fine dribbling effort, beating two defenders before unleashing a well-placed low shot.
Eleven minutes into the second half Svensson picked up a stray Liechtenstein pass and shot home past an unsighted keeper.
Liechtenstein remain bottom of the group with four points from 10 games.
