His consistency and proficient technique have made him a force to reckon with in the world of athletes. Proving his mettle in the outdoor scenario, this was the seventh time Duplantis broke the world record, and the second time outside, the first in Eugene when he surpassed 6.21m during last year's World Championships.
Upon confirmation of his achievement, Duplantis was flooded with joy. His celebrations became jubilant when he was lifted high by his colleague, Sam Kendricks, amongst cheering from the crowd. His parents joined the celebration, further elevating his joy.
The champion athlete said, "For me, I just try to jump high. I love pole vaulting so much and I've loved it ever since I was just a little kid. Everything, including the modern touch, the historic significance, the crowd's energy, just builds up to what I need to be able to break the world record."

Mondo Duplantis' achievement brought glory not just for him, but also for Sweden and the sport. His passion and determination to redefine the limits in pole vaulting have rendered him a true icon and inspiration for aspiring athletes.
As he basks in the glory of his record-breaking feat, his words echo promise for the future, "The limit is very high, and I hope that I can continue to jump well and keep jumping higher than I did today."
