Sydney team bowled out for eight

By Super Admin

Sydney, Dec.12 (ANI): A Sydney third-grade bowler took two hat-tricks in an innings as North Sydney were bowled out for a record low score of just eight.

Parramatta's Anthony Karam finished with remarkable figures of 7-3 as Norths were bundled out in their first innings for what is believed the lowest score in the 116-year history of Sydney grade cricket.

Karam, who also bowled seven maidens, only had two scoring shots against him at Merrylands Oval.

"It was just one of those days when the ball just came out well for me," Karam said.

"The ball swung around a bit and they never got to grips with it," the Sydney Morning Herald quoted him, as saying.

Extras were the visitors' second top scorer with one, as eight players recorded ducks.

Parramatta scored 5-117 in response to Norths' first innings and Karam was back in the thick of the action in their second dig when he took another wicket with his first ball to finish with overall figures for the match of 8-18. (ANI)
