Symonds keen to improve
Sydney, Nov 28 (UNI) Chastened after being dropped from the Australian squad following the 'gone fishing' episode, troubled all-rounder Andrew Symonds is keen to become a better person.
''I need to make good decisions, the other day I put myself in a position where I may have compromised my position,'' Symonds said.
The sturdy right-hander, who was again involved in a controversy after getting caught up in a confrontation with a patron in a Brisbane hotel on Sunday night, admitted he is undergoing a counselling process.
''I have a counselling process that I am going through,'' Symonds told 'The Australian'.
''(I need to be) smarter when I go out and where I go out.
''I give my team-mates, Cricket Australia and Australian cricket fans a commitment that I will continue the counselling work which, as I have already said publicly, is something I want to use to help me understand how and why I behave so I can be a better person,'' he added.
