Syndrela Das, Divyanshi Bhow,mick snatch Women's Doubles Title in WTT Feeder Cappadocia

Indian wildcards Syndrela Das and Divyanshi Bhowmick pulled off a stunning upset in the WTT Feeder Cappadocia 2026 women's doubles final, defeating top seeds NG Wing Lam and Wong Hoi Tung of Hong Kong 3-1 on February 6, 2026.

The 28-minute thriller unfolded on Table 1 at Nevşehir Hacı Bektaş Veli University Sport Center in Türkiye, with Das/Bhowmick showcasing resilience to claim the title. The final scoreline read 3-11, 11-9, 11-9, 11-8 in favour of the Indian pair, marking a historic breakthrough for the duo as wildcards.

Syndrela, who has been prolific in recent tournaments, thus add another feather in her crown. She recently won the Mixed Doubles in WTT Feeder Vadodara and also clinched U19 Girls' title in the Youth contender in Doha.

Divyanshi-Syndrela Win - A Glance by Game

Set 1: Top seeds dominated early, racing to an 11-3 win with aggressive serving and precise forehand drives, highlighted by an 8-0 run midway.

Set 2: Das/Bhowmick fought back fiercely, trading leads at 5-5 before clinching it 11-9 on a service swap, fueled by Das's net play.

Set 3: Momentum swung decisively as the Indians surged from 1-5 to game point at 10-8, sealing it 11-9 despite Hong Kong's late push.

Set 4: Facing match point pressure, NG/Wong called a timeout at 3-6 but couldn't halt the rally; Das/Bhowmick converted championship point at 11-8 after multiple deuces.

NG Wing Lam/Wong Hoi Tung grabbed the opener convincingly but faltered with unforced errors in the decider, including during their timeout at 3-6 in Game 4. Das and Bhowmick, leveraging wildcard grit, turned service changes into momentum shifts, winning crucial points on Das's serves.

The Indian pair from Kolkata are two very close friends off the field as well, and the duo will be aiming to conitnue their prowess in the upcoming competitions.
