ONE Samurai 1: Takeru Segawa Vows Revenge KO Against Rodtang In Final Fight For Interim Flyweight Kickboxing Title
Japanese striking icon Takeru Segawa plans revenge in his final fight against Thai megastar Rodtang Jitmuangnon on 29 April. They meet for the ONE Interim Flyweight Kickboxing World Championship in the ONE SAMURAI 1 main event, with Takeru vowing a knockout finish.
Across the ring stands Rodtang, a 28-year-old Thai warrior and key ONE Championship name since his 2018 debut. The former six-time flyweight Muay Thai World Champion holds a 274-43 career record and 17-2 promotional slate, built on an aggressive, never-back-down approach.

Shock of first fight at ONE 172 in 2025
These generational strikers first met at ONE 172 in 2025. Rodtang stopped Takeru in just 80 seconds, a result that shocked the striking world. The quick knockout defined that contest and left Takeru with a result he still calls haunting.
Takeru’s final mission and promise to fans
Takeru believes the rematch can erase that memory and deliver the slugfest fans want. The Japanese legend enters his retirement fight convinced he will win. "We can [provide fans] the greatest slugfest that they want to see," Takeru said.
The first-round loss still stings "Natural Born Krusher" more than any defeat. He says it created a last mission. Takeru wants a trademark knockout, stating he has stopped many hard fighters and aims to "defeat him by KO to end my career perfectly."
