Tamil Nadu defeats Kerala, advances in Vinoo Mankad trophy

Visakhapatnam, Oct 26 (UNI) Tamil Nadu today defeated Kerala by eight wickets in the round robin one-day cricket match in Vinoo Mankad Trophy at the UKKU Stadium here.

Tamil Nadu opener Praveen Srivatsan and middle order batsman S Karthik put up 104 runs partnership for third wicket.

The brief score: Kerala 150 for eight in 50 overs.

The top scorers for Kerala were Nihal Unni 44, Jafar Jamal 32 and M Akhil 30 (not out).

Tamil Nadu 151 for two in 32.3 overs.

The top scorers for Tamil Nadu were Praveen Srivatsan 54 n o and S Karthik 43 (not out).

Tamil Nadu recorded five points and Kerala one point.
