Tamil Nadu in command against Kerala with 160 run lead

Chennai, Oct 8 (UNI) Hosts Tamil Nadu played themselves into a position of strength gaining an overall lead of 160 runs with six second innings wickets in hand against Kerala at close on the second day of the four-day South Zone Under-22 cricket tournament for the P Ramachandra Rao trophy here today.

After gaining a first innings lead of 42 runs, Tamil Nadu were 118 for four in their second essay at close with Srijith Chandran (47 batting, 82 balls 6x4) and M Einstein (38) among the runs.

Earlier resuming at 57 for two, Kerala were all out for 164 in 74.2 overs. Abhishek Hegde top scored with 68 (147 balls, 10x4).

Left arm medium pacer Sudeesh claimed five wickets.

Brief Scores: Tamil Nadu 206 and 118 for four vs Kerala 164 all out in 74.2 overs (A Hegde 68, Sudeesh 5 for 44).
