Tamil Nadu Men and Kerala Women Triumph in 4th 3x3 National Basketball Championship

The 4th edition of the 3x3 National Basketball Championship concluded with Tamil Nadu securing the men's title and Kerala emerging victorious in the women's category.

In an intense men's final, Tamil Nadu triumphed over Uttar Pradesh with a score of 21-16 within the regulation 10 minutes.

Meanwhile, Kerala's women dominated Tamil Nadu, reaching the 21-point mark well before the allotted time. In the battle for third place in the men's division, Haryana edged past Rajasthan in a nail-biting contest, finishing 21-19. Telangana claimed the women's third-place honors with a convincing 21-11 victory over Madhya Pradesh.

During the closing ceremony, Dr. K. Govindaraj, President of FIBA Asia and Karnataka Olympic Association, as well as Political Secretary to the Chief Minister of Karnataka, addressed the gathering. He expressed his appreciation for the successful organization of the championship held in Bengaluru, commending everyone involved. Dr. Govindaraj also encouraged the participants to work diligently and strive for better performances in future tournaments, emphasizing the potential for more national-level events in the city in the coming years.

The champions, runners-up, and second runners-up teams were awarded prize money of ₹3 lakhs, ₹2 lakhs, and ₹1 lakh, respectively. Distinguished guests presented the awards, including Dr. G. Parameshwara, Hon. Home Minister of Karnataka, Dr. Shalini Rajnish, IAS, Chief Secretary of Karnataka, Dr. K. Govindaraj, Shri B. Dayananda, IPS, Commissioner of Police, Bengaluru, Shri Kulvinder Singh Gill, Secretary General of the Basketball Federation of India, Shri Aadhav Arjuna, President of the Basketball Federation of India, and Dr. Seema Sharma, Vice President of the Basketball Federation of India, among others.
