Perinthalmanna (Kerala), Feb 12 (PTI) Opener M Vijay''sbrilliant 92 of 113 balls and Off-spinner Murthy Prabhu''s fivefor 59 helped Tamil Nadu defeat Karnataka by six wicketsin the P Subaiah Pillai trophy cricket match at Perinthalmannastadium here today.
Put into bat, Karnataka, aided by a breezy 86 by RobinUthappa in just 54 balls with nine hits to the fence and fivesixes, scored 239 runs before being all out. Tamil Nadu''soff-spinner M Prabhu did the bulk of the damage.
In reply, Tamil Nadu notched up the required runs rathercomfortably, scoring 241/4 in 47.5 overs.
