London, September 15 : Football star Theo Walcott's sexy girlfriend Melanie Slade is so happy with him that she is hoping that one day their relationship will lead to marriage.

Mel, who met Theo when she worked behind the counter of a Claire's Accessories shop in Southampton, hopes that the Arsenal wing wizard will pop the question in a romantic setting.

"I'm a big fan of Cannes actually. Maybe that would be romantic. Theo and I had some invites to attend some of the film festival parties this year but, in the end, he didn't want to go," she said.

She even says that she is the best person to soothe the England wonderkid's aching muscles just in case he ever gets hurt.

"I am studying physiotherapy at university, so Theo is in very, very good hands if he ever gets injured," the Daily Star quoted the 19-year-old, who has been dating Theo for three years, as saying.

Mel also revealed how Theo, whose 20,000 pounds per week earnings are set to treble following his hat-trick for England against Croatia in Wednesday's World Cup qualifier, brings some of the fashionable stuffs for her.

"Theo brings home a few things for me to try on for him. Mostly shoes and training shoes though and the Nike ones he brings home from Arsenal are really comfortable," she said.

She, however, said that she did not want to be recognised as a WAG.

She insisted that she and Theo were just a normal couple who do "normal" teenage things.
