Tiger Woods and his son Charlie narrowly missed their first PNC Championship victory, losing in a play-off to Bernhard and Jason Langer in Orlando. Team Langer secured their sixth title as Bernhard sank an eagle putt on the first extra hole after both teams finished at 28 under par. Team Woods had a chance to level with a 20-yard eagle putt, but neither Tiger nor Charlie could convert.
Both teams recorded scores of 59 in the opening round, followed by a 15-under 57 on Sunday. During this round, Charlie Woods achieved his first career hole-in-one on the par-three fourth hole. Despite their strong performance, Team Woods has yet to win the tournament, marking their fifth appearance at the PNC Championship. This is the second time they have finished as runners-up, having last done so in 2021.

Despite their loss, Tiger and Charlie remained positive. Tiger expressed his happiness for Charlie and noted that no mistakes were made during their play. He stated, "I'm just super happy for Charlie, no one made a mistake today, and we had to earn it. I'm nowhere near in competitive shape, but we made a great team and that's the whole joy of it." Charlie shared his excitement about making an ace and described it as the most fun he has ever had.
The event marked Tiger's return to competitive golf following back surgery in September. Although not fully fit for competition, he was pleased with their teamwork and performance throughout the tournament.
The PNC Championship continues to be a memorable experience for Team Woods despite not securing a win yet. Their consistent performances show promise for future tournaments.
