St Andrews, Jul 16: Sex scandal tainted golfer, Tiger Woods is busy trying to do away with the dark clouds that have been hovering over him over the past eight months at St Andrews.
Making an impressive start here, Woods has made it clear that he is on a campaign to become the first man in the 150-year history of the British Open to win the title three times in a row.
The American has had a encouraging opener at St Andrews as he carded a five-under par 67 - accounting a perfect start.
"The art here is just letting the round mature, and there's no need to force it."
"Just go ahead and just capitalize on certain holes, and just because I'm at 1-under par doesn't mean I need to go force things."
"As I said, let the round mature. I had plenty of holes left, but the conditions were benign and just go ahead and get it done, and it happened," said Woods.
The golfer played like a god on the Old Course five years ago. However, this time he has a lot on his mind as he is still recouping from the disaster that followed after his 2009 thanksgiving accident.
He took the five months off from professional golf to sort out his personal life. Despite his multiple extra marital affairs, his wife Elin has taken him back and he is now trying to be a better person and above all the best father to his two children.
