Timberwolves Overcome 24-Point Deficit To Stun Thunder In Overtime Victory

The Minnesota Timberwolves pulled off a remarkable comeback against the Oklahoma City Thunder, winning 131-128 in overtime. Naz Reid's two free throws with 22.8 seconds left were crucial in this victory. The Timberwolves overcame a 24-point deficit in the fourth quarter, avenging their previous loss to the Thunder. This win marked only the fourth home defeat for Oklahoma City this season.

Jaden McDaniels contributed significantly with 27 points and 10 rebounds. Off the bench, Nickeil Alexander-Walker added 21 points, while rookie Terrance Shannon Jr. scored a career-high 17 points. Reid was instrumental, scoring 20 of his 22 points after halftime and securing 11 rebounds.

The extra period remained tight until Reid's free throws put Minnesota ahead at 129-128. Anthony Edwards then blocked Shai Gilgeous-Alexander's layup attempt, allowing Shannon to recover the ball with just over ten seconds left.

The Detroit Pistons secured their seventh consecutive win by defeating the Los Angeles Clippers 106-97. Cade Cunningham led with 32 points, nine rebounds, and seven assists. Tobias Harris added support with 20 points on efficient shooting, while Jalen Duren grabbed an impressive 19 rebounds alongside his 12 points.

This victory ended Detroit's ten-game losing streak against the Clippers, marking their first win over Los Angeles since January 2019. James Harden contributed for the Clippers with 18 points and 12 assists, but it wasn't enough as they suffered their third straight road loss.

Despite Myles Turner's efforts for Indiana with his team-high of 23 points, Denver maintained control throughout the game. The Nuggets built an early lead and extended it during a dominant third quarter where they shot an impressive percentage from the field.
