TN CM honours Dinesh Karthik

Chennai, Sep 27 (UNI) Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M Karunanidhi today presented a cheque for Rs five lakh to Dinesh Karthik in commendation of his performance as a member of the Twenty20 World Cup winning Indian team.

The reward was in appreciation of bringing glory to Tamil Nadu by helping Team India win the cup, he said.

Speaking after receiving the cheque, Dinesh thanked the Chief Minister for the support and said this would spur him to achieve more laurels.

Apart from the BCCI,many state government have announced hefty cash reawards in appreciation of the cricketers performances in the tournament.
