TN win boys and girls titles

Chennai, Apr 28 (UNI) Hosts Tamil Nadu scored a memorable double, annexing the boys and girls titles in the 14th Sub-Junior National Throwball Championship which concluded here last evening.

In the boys final Tamil Nadu defeated Chattisgarh 15-10, 13-15, 15-10 to bag the title. Madhya Pradesh beat Haryana 15-7, 15-9 for third place.

In the girls final, Tamil Nadu outclassed Delhi 15-8, 15-9 to take the title while Karnataka routed Bihar 15-3, 15-2 to finish third.

Chandan of Chattisgarh was awarded the best player of the tournament prize in the boys category while Anu (Delhi) took the honour among girls.
