Top Amateurs to play in PSPB Tournament

Bangalore, Nov 20 (UNI) The country's top amateurs will vie for honours in the 29th GAIL sponsored Petroleum Sports Promotion Board (PSPB) Inter-Unit Golf Tournament 2008-09 to be played at Eagleton Golf Resort here from tomorrow to November 23.

Speaking to newspersons today General Manager GAIL CA Rashid said the PSPB Inter-Unit Golf Tournament, one of the most prestigious events in the Indian Golf Union's Calendar, will feature teams from Public Sector Oil companies, including GAIL, OIL, IOCL, ONGC, BPCL, BLCL and IOCL-AOD.

He said the amateur players in junior category will also participate in the event.

The last GAIL India sponsored Golf Tournament was held in 2001 in Kolkata.

The best card of each day will be taken into account to decide the winner, he said.
